They are teammates at Manly but Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans won't let mateship stand in their way when they run out for the World Cup final.
Cherry-Evans will start the game on the Kangaroos bench but when he gets on the field he is likely to play directly opposite his Sea Eagles' halves partner.
Cherry-Evans has already admitted he has been swapping texts with Foran during the week and joked: "I dare say we'll enjoy it for what it is worth and have a little wink or an elbow to the face."
Cherry-Evans also said that if helping Australia meant giving up some secrets on his Sea Eagles teammate then so be it.
"If that's what needs to be done, then I'm going to help my team get the result they are after," Cherry-Evans said.
