When you get critical advice from your coach you can take it negatively or positively.
So after one of the worst games of my career against Australia I got some advice from the coach.
And I have been working on that for today's test against Great Britain.
I felt I had let my team and my country down after that last game against Australia and looking back I was sitting on the wagon watching the younger players do the work.
After the game Daniel Anderson told me to play to my strengths and that is to lead the team by example from the front.
The younger players like Roy Asotasi and Sonny Bill Williams have been awesome taking the ball up. They have grown on this tour. And halfback Tommy Leuluai has been really good but he needs the forwards, like me, to provide him with more room to move so he can have that field of vision. I felt like I had let him down.
Today's game against Great Britain is expected to be very physical.
We both have big forward packs and it's going to be a battle up the middle.
The Poms showed that in their game against Australia, they showed they never give up in what was a really tough encounter.
I can't wait to play to make amends for my last outing - I'm better than that. As a player you go through good times and bad times and the game against Australia wasn't one of the highlights of my career. So I try to improve on what I can do in the game and have been doing some extra training.
The British team have a big forward pack and we're going to have to stop their go forward before they unleash their halves, like Danny McGuire and Sean Long. We need to complete our sets with the ball, keep the ball in hand and not give any cheap ball away like we did against the Australians.
This is a must-win game for us and we need at least a point from it to stay in the hunt for the final.
The Great Britain team is looking for two wins from its remaining three games.
We've only got one more Tri Nations game after this, so the pressure is on us.
It's a do or die situation.
Ruben Wiki: Sorry, that was one of my worst games
