French prop David Ferriol has been suspended for one match and will miss the Four Nations rugby league test against the Kiwis in Toulouse on Sunday (NZT).
The Rugby Football League's (RFL) match review committee today imposed a one-match ban on Ferriol for striking England's Kevin Sinfield during the opening match of the tournament last Saturday.
But the RFL said Ferriol's teammate, Jean Philippe Baille, would be free to play the New Zealanders after the committee decided that his sending off for a high tackle on Richard Myler was sufficient punishment.
The French can appeal Ferriol's suspension.
France lost to England 12-34 while New Zealand and Australia drew 20-20 in the first round of matches.
