With the Kiwis squad to take on Australia in the Anzac Test to be announced on Tuesday, it's a bit of a weird situation for me.
If I'm selected it would be my first game back after serving a four-week suspension so it feels a little bit like I'm in pre-season training at the moment.
I haven't heard anything from the selectors so I'm hoping and praying my name will be read out on Tuesday but I don't think being out for so long will make too much difference.
Every time I pull on the black jersey, I feel like I grow an extra arm and a leg. There's nothing like playing for your country.
The loss of Sonny Bill Williams to injury is a big blow but we have a lot of depth in the forwards so we should be OK there.
It came as a bit of a surprise to hear I was being talked about as a possible replacement in the loose forwards but, again, it wouldn't bother me - the forwards is the forwards after all and I'll play anywhere I'm asked to. It's up to the selectors to make that call.
The good thing is there are so many Kiwi guys playing well at the moment so the selectors have a few tough choices to make to settle on their squad.
One guy who has impressed me so far this season is my Warriors team-mate Wairangi Koopu.
He's played really consistently, he can go for 80 minutes and he does all of the basics well.
Sione Faumuina has also done well since coming back from injury and my room-mate Feka Paleaaesina has lived up to his nickname as Mr Effective.
A lot of hype has surrounded Benji Marshall and, while he's only a young pup, he is pretty mature and a very confident player.
He reminds me a lot of a young Henry Paul and seems to be able to deliver every time - it wouldn't be a surprise if he gets picked.
It was good timing that Marshall and the Tigers came up against the Warriors last night because both sides have a number of Kiwis contenders. It shows there are a number of prospects knocking on the door.
As well as Marshall, who was up against Lance Hohaia and Jerome Ropati, they also had Bronson Harrison, Paul Whatuira and Deen Halatau.
Even at this late stage, players want to impress. As we saw on Friday with injuries to the 'Hairbears' Tony Puletua and Joe Galuvao, anything can happen.
Don't be surprised to see Steve Price included in the Australian side to replace the retired Shane Webcke. Price would fill his boots pretty easily and he's a true leader.
