Catalans centre Ben Pomeroy has been sent off for a sickening suplex-style tackle that saw Castleford's Ashley Gibson taken from the field in a neck brace in the British Super League.
Gibson was stretchered off the field to a standing ovation after Pomeroy had grabbed his opposite number by the waist and thrown him in a move reminiscent of the WWE, dropping the Tigers centre directly onto his neck and head midway through the first half of the Dragons 44-20 win.
The moment of madness from the former Sharks and Panthers three-quarter saw him immediately marched for the second time in as many matches, following on from a sickening high shot he landed on St. Helens' Josh Jones two weeks ago.
Thankfully Gibson was able to tweet a short time later that he had recovered from the incident.
