The Kiwis rugby league camp was last night anxiously awaiting the result of a medical test on their captain Jarrod McCracken.
McCracken had a bone scan on a left forearm injury in Sydney yesterday and then headed for talks with his new club, Wests Tigers. He was unavailable for comment.
It is understood the arm is not broken but a bone may be cracked.
The Kiwis are preparing for the inaugural tri-series against Australia and Great Britain next month.
McCracken injured the arm late in the game when his Parramatta side lost to Melbourne in an NRL semifinal on Saturday and he did not immediately seek medical advice.
The initial concern is that McCracken would miss the Kiwis' match against Australia on October 15, but be available for the clash with Great Britain on October 29. - NZPA
