The Sydney Roosters yesterday stood down Chris Walker for this weekend's NRL game against the West Tigers, fined the former Queensland winger 10 per cent of his salary, and imposed a full alcohol ban on him for the rest of the season.
Earlier, he was kicked out of Queensland's State of Origin camp as a result of a late-night incident.
Walker has also agreed to undergo counselling after being charged with assaulting police outside a Brisbane nightclub. The police were forced to use capsicum spray to subdue Walker at 4am.
