England's World Cup-winning lock Ben Kay yesterday said he was retiring from rugby and pursuing a career in the media.
The 34-year-old - capped 62 times and an important part of the side who won the 2003 World Cup final over hosts Australia - had already left his long-time club Leicester at the end of the season just finished.
He said ESPN had made him an attractive offer to be a commentator.
