Wales centre Gavin Henson was to meet Ospreys chief Mike Cuddy yesterday amid reports he is set to quit rugby union, local newspapers report.
Ospreys management are trying to persuade the 27-year-old to carry on, the Western Mail reports, but the player has been quoted as saying he wants a break from the sport.
Earlier the Sun newspaper claimed Henson, boyfriend of singer Charlotte Church, was becoming disillusioned with rugby union, and was thinking of quitting the Swansea-based club and the Welsh national team.
Meanwhile Rugby League side Celtic Crusaders say they would be delighted to welcome Henson should he decide to switch codes.
