Highlanders loose forward James Haskell has had his three-week suspension for striking a player increased to four by the Sanzar judiciary.
Haskell was found guilty of striking the Cheetahs' Justin Downey during the match at Free State Stadium last month.
During the hearing, the judiciary treated Haskell lightly due to a number of mitigating factors, including Haskell's guilty plea, remorse for the act and his record of no previous citings in over 10 years of professional rugby.
But it was later brought to Sanzar's attention that Haskell had in fact received a one week suspension in 2008 following a match between Wasps and Worcester.
Haskell explained to the judiciary he had completely overlooked it, because it was such a different and unusual matter, and apologised.
