Gordon Hunter, a former All Blacks selector and assistant coach, died of cancer yesterday aged 52.
Hunter coached Otago in the NPC from 1992 to 1995 and the Highlanders in the 1996 Super 12.
He was named assistant All Blacks coach in 1996 and 1997 and served as an ABs selector from 1996 to 1999.
Hunter retired as coach of the Blues in 2001 for health reasons.
He died in Dunedin.
