Castleford have been fined £40,000 ($87,000) after sections of their support were found guilty of directing homophobic chants at Crusaders winger Gareth Thomas.
The incident took place during a match at Castleford's home ground in a Super League fixture on March 26.
Former Wales rugby captain Thomas announced he was gay in December before switching codes to play league.
