Two potentially serious injuries resulted from the Crusaders' 23-22 Super Rugby victory over the Waratahs in Christchurch.
Number eight Kieran Read didn't emerge for the second half, while lock Dominic Bird was replaced in the second spell.
Coach Todd Blackadder has been given early doctor's assessments on both injuries.
He says Read had a head knock but Bird may have torn his pectoral muscle.
Kieran Read was expected to lead the All Blacks against France, while Bird was considered a contender for the squad, which is named tomorrow.
