The Counties Manukau Steelers have included a compelling mix of young and seasoned in their squad to play Samoa A this Friday night in Pukekohe.
The match will be for the Peter Fatialofa Memorial Trophy in honour of the former Manu Samoa great, who also played for Counties, and is also a nod to the Samoan influence in the Steelers' coaching staff via head coach Darryl Suasua and his assistant Semo Sititi.
Kickoff is at 6.30pm at ECOLight Stadium, but the crowd will be somewhat bigger for the August 12 Game of Three Halves at the same venue, featuring the Steelers, Northland and an All Blacks squad seeking a hitout ahead of the Rugby Championship.
