Dan Carter will resume kicking duties when the Crusaders take on the Bulls in Pretoria on Sunday morning.
The All Blacks first five-eighths has made two appearances since returning from the serious groin injury that curtailed his involvement in last year's World Cup but has left the goalkicking to others.
But with Ryan Crotty returning to second-five-eighths and Tom Taylor taking his place on the bench, Carter will be required to kick for goal.
Crotty's inclusion is the only change to the side that beat the Lions 23-13 last weekend in a performance coach Todd Blackadder described as 'average" and "inaccurate".
But the key thing was Crusaders picked up valuable competition points after a scratchy start to the season and are now sixth on the overall table.
