Rugby: Buller to face Mid Canterbury in Meads Cup final

Buller will host Mid Canterbury in next week's Meads Cup final after a last gasp 22-15 win over Horowhenua-Kapiti in Westport this afternoon.

The top qualifiers needed a late try to claim the win, with the scores level at 15-all with just a minute to go.

Mid Canterbury beat Poverty Bay 29-17 in Gisborne to secure their place in the final.

In the Lochore Cup, Wanganui cruised past King Country 37-6, while North Otago beat South Canterbury 16-12 in Timaru.
