The Australian Rugby Union is interested in buying New Zealand-born Willie Mason, though the huge Canterbury Bulldogs prop has never played their game.
Mason, just turned 22, stands 195cm, weighs 115kg, and has appeared in 40 NRL games since his debut in 2000. His good form this year has generated huge crowd noise every time he runs.
His cousin, Ipolito Fenukitau, also of Tongan extraction, played for the Brumbies.
