Patience on attack and sheer skill with the ball in hand gave the Brumbies a comfortable win over the Stormers on Sunday morning (NZ time).
Hard and flat or soft and popped, the Brumbies rarely made a mistake with their passes, and they excelled at hanging on to possession.
The visitors were ahead 15-12 at the break at Fedsure Park, Cape Town (the old Newlands), then poured on three more tries for a great start to their South African tour.
George Gregan and Stephen Larkham were able to dictate play, allowing the outside backs and loosies to hit the ball at incisive angles.
"Super Sub" Ipolito Fenukitau was brought on with the game already in the bag, but he scored a classy try anyway, slicing over after another considered, probing attack.
Owen Finegan's storming play was rewarded with two tries, and Stirling Mortlock grabbed the fourth. Gregan was named Man of the Match in a performance that should have alarm bells ringing in one or two other South African cities.
