WELLINGTON - The Rusty Robertson Perpetual Trophy is again back on New Zealand soil after its under-21 rowing team were too strong for the Australian state teams in Adelaide over the weekend.
The New Zealanders finished 6 points clear of South Australia, with Queensland third overall, winning two gold, four silver and six bronze medals.
"This just tops off what has been a great season of international results for New Zealand rowing teams," said team manager Dean Horo.
The regatta on the West Lakes course came down to the final race of the three-day event yesterday.
The women's eight secured the trophy leading all the way in a dominant display.
Earlier the New Zealand men's eight finished second to New South Wales.
