The New Zealand men's eight and women's quadruple sculls teams have qualified for the semifinals at the world junior rowing championships in Amsterdam this morning.
The women's four and men's pair will contest tonight's repechage.
The men's eight of David Eade, Sam O'Conner, James O'Connor, Ben Lynten, Tyler Sherman, Jared Pehi, Josiah Lester, Michael Arms and cox Robert Salveson won their heat in 5min 43.26sec ahead Croatia (second) and Russia.
The women's quadruple scull team of Laura Fisher, Genevieve Armstrong, Kate Reymer and Anna Stantiall were second to Germany in their heat to qualify for the semifinals.
The New Zealanders pushed the defending champion German side all the way.
Harriet Austin, Jessica Loe, Georgie Baker and Rachel Arbuckle in the women's four will also try to get a place in the semifinals when they compete in the repechage tonight as will the men's pair - Brad Ross and Josh Payne .
