New Zealand adaptive sculler Danny McBride won his heat, while two more crews advanced to the semifinals at the rowing world championships in Bled, Slovenia overnight.
McBride surged home to qualify directly for his semifinal, while the men's eight and the lightweight men's pair of Graham Oberlin-Brown and James Lassche also progressed.
The eight finished behind France and the Czech Republic to claim the third in their repechage and claim a place in the A semifinal. Their time of five minutes 38.57 seconds was 2.66secs behind the French.
Oberlin-Brown and Lassche, who were fourth in their heat, were second behind the Netherlands in the repechage to take their place in semifinals.
The lightweight women's double pair of Louise Ayling and Lucy Strack failed to progress directly to their semifinal, finishing second behind highly the British crew of Hester Goodsell and Sophie Hosking.
