The company responsible for staging the 2010 rowing world championships in New Zealand has appointed Thomas Mayo as its chief executive.
Mayo said he was delighted to secure a role at the helm of K2010, which is organising the regatta on Lake Karapiro.
Mayo was chief executive for Triathlon New Zealand.
