Organisers of this year's world rowing championships believe the Lake Karapiro event will revolutionise the way the sport holds it's major events.
With two months still to go until competition begins, work is well underway on the venue, which will include New Zealand's biggest ever temporary grandstand.
Event CEO Tom Mayo says the venue will be like nothing the sport has ever seen before.
Mayo labelled the venue as the "Eden Park of the aquatic world" and says the athletes will be blown away.
The eight-day long world championships get underway on October 31.
