New Zealand rower Mahe Drysdalehad to settle for second in the singles sculls at the 42nd annual Head of the Charles race in Massachusetts yesterday.
Argentina's rower Santiago Fernandez won the 4.8km race in a time of 18m 40s, heading two-time defending champion Drysdale by 16s. Canadian Kevin Light was third, 24s behind Fernandez.
