The week of judgement has finally arrived for New Zealand Rowing.
In just two days' time the International Rowing Federation will make a decision on whether New Zealand or the Netherlands hosts the 2010 rowing world champs.
It is a nervous week for New Zealand Rowing CEO Craig Ross, who is fully aware that the dollars and cents probably are not on his side.
Ross says they are up against the Netherlands, who have a bigger budget to play with than New Zealand.
He says the Dutch also have an advantage in that 75 per cent of the voting powers are based in Europe.
Craig Ross hopes the recent success of New Zealand crews will spark other nations to find out "what is in the water".
