Over 120 climbers from New Zealand and Australia are entered to compete in the Oceania sportclimbing championships at BaseCamp in Wanaka this weekend.
Each country's top seven women's and men's open-ranked climbers, selected by their respective sportclimbing federations, will compete for the Oceania Cup.
The winners of the cup gain access to compete in next year's world championship event.
New Zealand climbers will also be defending national titles in Wanaka.
