Former All Blacks captain Richie McCaw and his PWC team have finished the GODZone adventure race in sixth place after over six days of gruelling physical exertion.
McCaw's team, comprised of Rob Nichol, Sarah Fairmaid and Bob McLachlan, finished about 22 hours behind the winners, Yealands Family Wine, who finished the race in five days, 11 hours and 34 minutes.
Athletes were challenged over a number of disciplines in the 10-day race across Southland and Fiordland.
The 540km course involved such disciplines as navigating, trekking and pack rafting.
