A British newspaper is reporting that last year's July 7 bombers may have initially planned to attack the English and Australian cricket teams during the Ashes, which was underway at the time.
The Sunday Times has published claims from an unnamed friend of one of the four London bombers that they received orders from Al Qaeda to kill the cricketers by spraying sarin gas inside their change rooms.
The paper says the order was allegedly made at a terrorist training camp in Kashmir but one of the bombers reportedly objected to the plot because he 'liked cricket'.
