It was via internet connections around the world that the winning connections and the victorious trainer heard the strong pacing-making win that Lochinvar Brando produced in the $80,000 Plasterboard Duke Of Edinburgh Silver Collar at the Manukau Stadium on Sunday at group one level.

Trainer Denis Schofield and wife Pam picked up the live Radio Trackside feed in London, while owners Kevin and Leonie Gordon tuned into Peter Earley's 42nd Silver Collar commentary while in New Orleans.

There was a sensation soon after the field of eight stayers were released from the 779m traps when Deanne's Fantasy fell.

Copping the backwash from that incident were the favoured pair of stayers Little Teegan, who was forced to hurdle the fallen runner, while Thrilling Logic was also impeded.

Lochinvar Brando took the lead with a lap of the track to complete.

He was in cruise control and although Little Teegan charged at him late, he still had a length to spare when completing his assignment in 46.23secs. Thrilling Logic was a gallant third, just a half-length further behind for Karen Walsh.
