Davina Waddell has talented All's Well to take some of her attention away from saddling two runners for the $60,000 Wellington Steeplechase.
All's Well will have a tough run of his own keeping out the in-form Leica Guv in the $30,000 Ford XR6 Whangarei Cup.
The handicap makes the Cup a fascinating race.
As good as Leica Guv's form has been, it will be no easy task conceding 4kg to a horse of All's Well's class.
"I thought an apprentice claim may have been used on Leica Guv and I was worried because I had intended keeping Katie Hercock on All's Well and not claiming down.
"With 4kg between them it should be a very good race."
Much as All's Well has an admirable record of five wins from 10 starts on heavy tracks, Waddell is convinced the big chestnut prefers slightly better footing.
"I know they've had rain at Ruakaka this week, but that track doesn't get heavy.
"All's Well should really appreciate the way the footing is going to be."
All's Well has not raced at Ruakaka, but won a barrier trial by a wide margin there.
Opie Bosson will once again partner Leica Guv.
Locally-trained Aimee's Idol is jumping from 1400m to 2100m.
She finished second to Ascot Isle at Rotorua last start and although she is better known over much shorter distances than this, she has a four-from-five winning course record to offset that.
She is not out of this.
Racing: Weight may give All's Well an edge
