KEY POINTS:
Multiple group one winner Dance Hero will return to racing in the Arrowfield Quality Handicap at Randwick on December 1.
The Gai Waterhouse-trained six-year-old defeated Shadoways and champion mare Miss Andretti to win last year's group one Salinger Stakes and hasn't raced since his last to Mitanni in the Group Two Sir Byrne Hart Stakes (1200m) at Eagle Farm in April.
"He's going beautifully and you'll see Dance Hero in the $100,000 race the Arrowfield [1200m] which I think they could have given us a little more notice on but it's here and it's very nice to have it," Waterhouse said.
"I'll have Pasikatera, Beauty Watch and Dance Hero for the Arrowfield and they'll all trial at Rosehill next week."
Waterhouse warmed up for next month's equine influenza (EI) comeback meeting at Randwick with a dominant display at yesterday morning's barrier trials on her home track, where her stable won seven of the eight heats. But two of the horses who caught the eye of the colourful trainer didn't win their heats.
"The standouts today were Bella Cantata, a Stravinsky filly, and Fizeau who is a very exciting horse," Waterhouse said.
"He's a slow-maturing horse but I thought his trial was excellent, he showed speed and found the line."
The unraced Bella Cantata ran fourth to stablemate Miss Argyle, who led all the way to defeat the Waterhouse-trained Sambar by 1 1/2 lengths in heat seven over 740m in 42.7s.
Fizeau ran a short-neck second to stablemate Party Crasher in heat three over 1050m.
"I was very happy with all of my horses today and I said to all of my jockeys to give them nice hit-outs and find the the line and they did," Waterhouse said.
She hopes to have a big team at Randwick next month and said most of her runners from yesterday's trials should be there.
"I'm hoping to have about 30 runners to make the meeting work."
"I'm so happy to be back racing, there's been a lovely buzz about the place this morning."
The only trial of the day Waterhouse didn't win was the first heat, taken out by the Bruce Wallace-trained Grand Dancer.
