KEY POINTS:
Watamata trainer Mark Walker maintained his five-win lead over Stephen McKee at the top of the New Zealand trainers' premiership at the weekend.
Walker won with Hamlets Ghost at Ellerslie on Saturday, while McKee won with Tenjuberrymud.
McKee said last week he was unlikely to catch Walker before the season finishes at the end of July.
Walker has 73 wins to McKee's 68. Neither had a winner at Te Teko yesterday.
Canterbury trainer Michael Pitman is third with 63, while Graeme Rogerson and Stephen Autridge are fourth with 57. They trained the feature winners at both Ellerslie and Trentham on Saturday.
Lisa Cropp leads the jockey's premiership with 121 wins, after piloting Shanghai Devil to victory at Te Teko yesterday.
Opie Bosson, who has finished riding for the season, is second on 115 and Chris Johnson third on 91.
* Kelly Myers won the national apprentice jockey championship final at Hastings last week.
Myers had two seconds at the meeting on Thursday and that was enough to win her the $1000 first prize, from Jarrod Todd and Daniel Hain.
The finalists at Hastings were determined by points earned in apprentice riders' races from May 5, 2006 to March 31 this year.
Regional winners each received $500 and they were Troy Harris (Northern), Patrick Bell (Central Districts) and Todd (Southern).
