R McLeod has a lengthy book of rides at Tauranga tomorrow and if you have missed the name previously you are excused.
It is Reece McLeod, a 17-year-old Melbourne apprentice on a working experience holiday with Cambridge trainer Brian Jenkins.
McLeod, making his New Zealand debut, has ridden four provincial winners in his short career and will claim 4.5kg allowance where applicable tomorrow.
"Reece has talent and he's a pretty smart 4.5kg claimer," says Jenkins.
"He's apprenticed at Flemington to Pat Carey, who is a friend of mine." McLeod will ride smart stayer Go Corp in the $40,000 Carter Holt Kiwifruit Cup, stablemate Our Steffi in Race 2 as well as Super Lady, Flying Chapel and For Kicks.
