Class filly Vegas Showgirl will race at Otaki tomorrow in preference to her home track at Te Rapa as the trainers premiership fight winds down to its second last raceday.
The Graeme Rogerson-Stephen Autridge stable yesterday made the decision to send Vegas Showgirl to Otaki, where she will compete in the $10,000 More FM 1400, the race Seachange had accepted for, but will almost certainly not run in.
Another acceptor for that race is Congaline, trained by Mark Walker, with whom the Rogerson-Autridge stable is locked in a desperate premiership battle.
Walker said Congaline will run instead at Te Rapa.
Rogerson-Autridge failed to land a winner at Otaki on Tuesday and led Walker in the premiership by one win.
Walker has a strong team of five runners at Te Rapa tomorrow, but the Rogerson-Autridge barn has double that number and also a big team racing at Oamaru for the final raceday of the season on Sunday.
