The Auckland Racing Club has confirmed that Australia's current leading rider, Nash Rawiller, will ride for the four days of the Ellerslie summer carnival.
Melbourne-based Rawiller, 26, has 72 wins so far this season.
ARC assistant chief executive Andrew O'Toole said the club was delighted to confirm a jockey of Rawiller's class to ride at Ellerslie.
"The guy is right on top of his form at the moment."
O'Toole said the club is waiting for confirmation from last year's champion jockey Damien Oliver.
"Damien is in Hong Kong to ride Falvelon on Sunday and his management team is optimistic he will be able to be here for the January 1 and 2 racedays."
