Auckland Racing Club director Alistair Sutherland has been voted by a wide margin to the position of Northern Regional Director of New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing.
Sutherland was appointed during the year to fill a casual vacancy which came about with the resignation from the board of Rob McAnulty.
He was challenged by Stephen Cole, who received 10 votes to Sutherland's 104.
David Ellis, Northern Area Two director, was retiring by rotation and has decided not to stand, a decision which leaves Colin Jenkins as the only nominee for the position.
Guy Sargent (Central Region) and Keith Neylon (Southern Region) also retired by rotation.
They have both been re-elected unopposed.
New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders representative on the NZTR board, Nelson Schick is retiring from the body and has been replaced by Peter Hutt.
