Champion New Zealand mare Sunline was coping well in Hong Kong without a companion.
Sunline was to have paired up with fellow New Zealand horse Second Coming but the latter's trip to Hong Kong for next Sunday's international meeting was delayed because his temperature was up.
Second Coming, who is based at the Melbourne stables of Mike Moroney, was flown out of Australia last night and arrives at his Hong Kong quarters today. Sunline arrived in Hong Kong on Saturday.
Trainer Trevor McKee had been keen for Second Coming to provide company for Sunline in Hong Kong and he said it was unfortunate that Second Coming had been delayed.
However he added Sunline's constant human companion Claire Bird had reported to him in Auckland from Hong Kong that the horse was well.
"The horse is 100 per cent and jumping out of her skin, according to Claire," McKee said.
"There's no problems at all."
Sunline travelled to Hong Kong with Australian gallopers Shogun Lodge and Falvelon but was being kept apart from those horses in Hong Kong.
Sunline is to tackle the $HK10 million ($3 million) Hong Kong Mile (1600m) on Sunday and connections are keen for her to show her true worth after she was unplaced in the Hong Kong Cup (2000m) last year.
Second Coming, who tackles the $HK10 million Hong Kong Vase (2400m), has not raced since finishing third in the Melbourne Cup.
