In Flight (No2, R3) finished out of the money for the Logan/Gibbs team here last start, but this looks like a better opportunity for him.
It's an easier race and he claims a 2kg allowance. Cartell (No1) gets a big claim to help and Travel Wise (No5) is more than capable of upsetting a field such as this.
Barabas (No3, R4) is one of the very promising Dalghar breed and looked good being run down late on debut by Barcelo. That should have Barabas improved and it could be another for the local stable. Debut runner Toorak Tower (No7) gives the partners another option. Barcelo (No1) is the one to beat again, Don't Be Cheeky (No4) is a hope as is Tyrion (No5).
Rocknrolla (No6, R5) steps up significantly in class, but drops to a luxury 52kg with an apprentice allowance. There is scope for her to do the job on her home track again. Stablemate To Be Sure (No4) and Elusive Gold (No5) are strong opposition.
And for Logan and Gibbs, Zafrenzy (No5, R6) provides the opportunity to make it five wins to match the record of two weeks earlier. Her strong finish into second behind stablemate Candle In The Wind here last time points to another victory for the Savabeel mare. Candle In The Wind (No1) this time goes to 60kg topweight and meets Zafrenzy 2.5kg worse off. That should be close enough to turn the tables.
Race 7 is tough, but if justice is anywhere near the north today, it might see Annabelinda (No5) finally take the win she richly deserves. She is not the easiest ride, but has ability. Fiamette (No3) gives Logan/Gibbs a nice chance with a big apprentice allowance. And Nina Arora (No7) is close to another win. Scamp (No5, R8) should start favourite in the last despite there being quite a few winning hopes.
He has been in very genuine form this preparation. Valante (No4) and Silencer (No6) are musts for multiple bettors.
