Peter Snowden has quit as the head Australian racehorse trainer for global thoroughbred powerhouse Darley.
Snowden will leave Sheikh Mohammed's Australian racing operation at the end of the Sydney Autumn carnival, according to a Darley statement.
In partnership with his son Paul, Snowden intends to set up his own stable in 2014.
Snowden was appointed head trainer for Darley Australia in May 2008, after the sale of Bob Ingham's Crown Lodge and Woodlands Stud to Sheikh Mohammed in a reported A$500 million deal.
