Swift alliance will be set for next month's Group One Manikato Stakes at Moonee Valley after victory in the Listed Show County Quality at Randwick yesterday.
The win gave trainer Gai Waterhouse a stakes race double after Moti won the Toy Show Quality.
Both horses are owned by the Gooree Pastoral Company Syndicate and are by Don Eduardo.
Blake Shinn rode both horses. Swift Alliance quickly put the race beyond doubt.
"He got into a position where I thought if ever he's going to get beaten it will be today but his acceleration is something else and he's being set for the Manikato now," Waterhouse said.
"He's a horse on the improve, too, which is very exciting."
