KEY POINTS:
Don Sellwood is not expecting a "wow" run from classy filly Brianna in tomorrow's $35,000 Morton Estate Sparkling Sprint at Tauranga.
The Cambridge trainer is a little concerned about what the filly has been through in the seven weeks since she won at Te Rapa in early February.
"She caught a chill and had quite a nasty throat infection," said Sellwood. "She retained a bit of a cough for a while. I'm happy with her again, but she's not rock hard fit to have a crack at the older open sprinters here."
Safely through this race Brianna will be aimed at the $80,000 Windsor Park Breeders Stakes in which she would face the likes of Jazzella and Magic Tryst.
* The supporting programme at Tauranga tomorrow looks strong and the race nine clash between Zerello, Makutuwai, McCahon and Hagar looks a beaut.
The born-again Zerello was badly upset by the wet track late in the day on the Auckland Cup card and was allowed to drop out late. Makutuwai has been freshened and looks to be heading to the top.
