Anthony Cummings will have to rely on Calamba to snare a feature race win at Warwick Farm on Saturday after a campaign-ending injury to She's A Fox.
The exciting filly, who was to have contested Saturday's Silver Shadow Stakes, pulled up short in her action after a gallop on Tuesday.
Further investigations revealed She's A Fox had injured a ligament at the back of a knee and the decision was made to terminate her spring campaign.
"We could have pushed on and treated it but she's too good a filly to risk," Cummings said.
"We took the conservative view in dealing with it. She will have some treatment and she'll be out for three months and come back in the autumn."
