Sam Spratt couldn't have wished for a smoother comeback from injury after she had enjoyed an easy time aboard speedy juvenile The Bounty Hunter at Ellerslie yesterday.
They made all the play in front in the Countdown to Karaka Million 2YO to win by seven and a-half lengths.
It was Spratt's first ride back since she had been side-lined with a broken cheekbone, concussion and bruising following a fall on the Auckland track on December 7.
Spratt allowed The Bounty Hunter to run along at the head of the field and they slipped clear into the straight and from there they turned the race into a procession.
Palace Rock was a distant runner-up ahead of the debutant Rockfast.
