Ex-Kiwi galloper Sacred Falls added another group one win to an already impressive Randwick mile record when he capitalised on a sharp Zac Purton ride to win the George Main Stakes yesterday.
Splitting runners with an inside passage, Sacred Falls burst to the lead at the 150m before going on to beat stablemate Royal Descent.
Laser Hawk, the 100/1 outsider, made the running before finishing third.
Sacred Falls has won the past two Doncaster Miles at Randwick and yesterday's victory was his fourth group one success at the distance.
"He loves the mile here so full credit to the horse," Purton said.
