Gerald Ryan knows as much about the progeny of Snitzel as anyone, but the trainer says it's pot luck whether they handle the wet or not.
As he prepares to take the wraps off another Snitzel 2-year-old, heavy rain in Sydney and the prospect of more before El Sasso races on Saturday has Ryan unsure of his chances.
Ryan trained Snitzel to win the 2006 Oakleigh Plate, which was run on a heavy track, but said not all his sons and daughters get through it.
"Some do and some don't," Ryan said.
"Hot Snitzel has won in the wet, Top Drop doesn't like it and nor does Snitzerland. We'll just have to wait and see.
