Fraser Auret will always have the fondest of memories of his two-time Group One winner Julinsky Prince.
The Marton trainer has enjoyed the best of times with the son of Darci Brahma, but all good things come to an end and time has been called on the John Bromley-bred and raced eight-year-old.
"I had a meeting with John and we've decided to retire him," Auret said. "He's been a very special horse to us - he was our first two-year-old winner, my 100th winner and my first Group One winner."
Julinsky Prince had an enviable strike rate of 11 wins from his 41 starts and a further 14 placings took the eight-year-old's stake earnings to just shy of $595,000.
The gelding's career highlights were his 2015 Group One successes in the Windsor Park Plate at Hastings and in the Captain Cook Stakes at Trentham.
