Canterbury owner-trainer Bruce Graham favours a start in a penalty-free race on the grass at Oamaru on Saturday for Quality Invasion, who won at Addington last Friday.
The trotter has also been nominated for Addington the day before.
"I am thinking about the race for invited drivers at Oamaru but I will study the nominations for both venues," Graham said.
Quality Invasion led for most of the way to win over 2600m on Friday, beating the promising Tim Butt-trained Thanesan. Two of his five wins have been on grass at Methven and he won a trial there on November 5 in 3:16.9 for 2400m.
The Fat Sally's Handicap Trot over 3000m is one of five penalty-free events the Oamaru club has programmed for invited brother reinsmen. The races will be restricted to 12 starters. Hamish and Peter Hunter have replaced Jim and Roddy Curtin. Jim will be in Sydney to drive Terror To Love in the Cordina Sprint.
