KEY POINTS:
Puttanesca has been bought by overseas interests and will be a late entry for next week's $2.2 million Telecom Derby.
Rob McAnulty said his son Christophe had completed the deal.
McAnulty snr, who came to inspect the horse this week, said the purchaser was from Hong Kong, but spends a lot of his time in the United States.
"We'll be paying the $66,000 late entry fee on Tuesday," said Rob McAnulty.
The news is another headache for the connections of the horses on the cusp of making the bottom end of the 18-horse Derby line-up.
"We'll run her in the Derby and then the Oaks at Wellington," said McAnulty.
The filly will continue to be trained by Wayne and Vanessa Hillis.
In her last three starts, Puttanesca has won the $125,000 Royal Stakes, finished a close second to Glamorous Girl in the Desert Gold Stakes and a handy third to Due Diligence in the Sir Tristram Fillies Classic at Te Rapa.
