The Peter Snowden-trained Purple revelled in the wet conditions to race away with the group one Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm yesterday.
The Commands filly, ridden a treat by Kerrin McEvoy, enjoyed the run of the race in third and fourth from her handy alley as Rezyana set the pace.
McEvoy had her poised to strike at the top of the straight and Purple did the rest, grabbing the lead soon after and comfortably scoring from Nothin' Leica Cat and Walk In The Park.
Three starts back Purple won the group one Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) at Rosehill and was coming off a last-start third to Awesome Planet in the Doomben Roses (2020m) on May 16.
Her victory in the 2400m classic was her fifth from 13 starts which have also yielded four placings for prizemoney in excess of A$650,000.
Snowden ruled out an attempt to emulate Riva San who won last year's Oaks before winning the Queensland Derby a week later.
Perth stayer Earlier, Scenic Shot, ridden by Shane Scriven, proved too good for his rivals to score by 2 lengths over Mirkola Lass in the 2200m O'Shea Stakes.
