KEY POINTS:
Punters have bet twice as much on multiple group one winner Dance Hero as they have on international sprint king Takeover Target for today's rematch in the Razor Sharp Quality at Randwick.
TAB Sportsbet's Glenn Munsie was shocked by the betting moves last night for the 1200-metre feature.
"It's actually astonishing that there has been twice as much for Dance Hero," Munsie said.
Eight-year-old Takeover Target has been installed as the $1.60 favourite with TAB Sportsbet fixed odds while Dance Hero is at $2.80.
The last time they clashed, on December 1 at Randwick over today's distance, Takeover Target drifted from $1.90 to $2.80 while the Gai Waterhouse-trained Dance Hero remained solid at $3.50.
The Joe Janiak-trained Takeover Target, who carried 61kg, produced a stirring first-up run to defeat Dance Hero by a long head.
The pair was so dominant that Pasikatera was 4-3/4 lengths away third.
"The other day was Dance Hero's party, the way the race was run and with Takeover Target needing the run, I think if he couldn't hold him off the other day then he's not going to do it," Munsie said.
"There have been a couple of bets of $1000 but nothing outstanding at this stage."
Both Takeover Target and Dance Hero had solid 1000-metre hitouts at Randwick on Tuesday with the Waterhouse horse running his final 200 metres in 11 seconds which veteran clockers said was the quickest of the session.
Takeover Target clocked a quicker overall time than Dance Hero, ran his last 600m in 34.8s and came home his final 200m in 11.3s.
Dance Hero has a half-kilo weight turnaround in his favour from their last clash but Munsie believes that won't be a factor.
"The weight's not going to make any difference to this result," he said.
Six-year-old Dance Hero had a light gallop at Randwick yesterday and pleased his jockey Nash Rawiller with his work.
"I couldn't be happier with him, he's made nice improvement since his last run and has drawn perfectly in barrier three, one outside Takeover Target, everything is going to plan."
